Track Chains

Track chains, also known as track links or track assemblies, are the metal chains that run around the sprockets and support the weight of the machine. They are essential for providing traction and stability.

Track Rollers

Track rollers are wheels that guide the track chain and distribute the weight of the machine across the ground. They help the equipment move smoothly and maintain stability.

Sprockets

Sprockets are toothed wheels that engage with the track chain. They are connected to the final drive and help drive the tracks, allowing the machine to move.

Idlers

Idlers are stationary rollers or wheels positioned at the front of the undercarriage. They guide the track chain and maintain proper tension.

Carrier Rollers

Carrier rollers support the upper part of the track chain and help reduce friction and wear.

Track Shoes or Pads

Track shoes, also known as track pads, are the part of the track in direct contact with the ground. They come in various styles and materials, depending on the machine's intended use and the terrain it operates on.

Track Bolts and Nuts

These are used to secure the track shoes to the track chain. They are essential for maintaining the integrity of the track.

Bushings and Pins

Bushings and pins connect the track chain links together, allowing for flexibility and movement. They wear over time and may need replacement.

Tensioning System

Tensioning systems are used to adjust the tension in the track chain. Proper tension is crucial for the machine's stability and performance.

Rubber Tracks

(for some machines): In addition to steel tracks, some compact excavators and mini-rigs use rubber tracks for increased versatility and reduced ground damage.
